The closest beach is Mongiove, just 900 meters from our residence.
At your disposal both a free beach and two fully equipped bathing areas (managed by external companies). With a breath taking walk you can reach the suggestive caves of Mongiove and, on low tide days, arrive at the small beach of Valle Tindari. Between dives and secret passages, don’t miss the opportunity to take some photos in this magical setting.
Moving further, a few km from Medimare, the beaches of Patti Marina and San Giorgio will be waiting for you (both free and equipped, according to your needs) . Those two amazing sandy beaches are connected and have recently become even more beautiful with a lively promenade (“lungomare”) full of nice clubs and shops. If you are looking for shopping and some fun, this will be the place!
For a day trip, we definitely recommend the Oriented Nature Reserve of the Marinello Lakes. A corner of paradise where the border between lakes and the sea is marked by a strip of fine sand that forms a peninsula and changes shape over the course of the year based on winds and currents.
A series of legends are linked to this place, surmounted by the Sanctuary of the Black Madonna.
